Caravan Watch
Similar to Neighbourhood Watch, Caravan Watch is run by, and for, members of the caravanning community and is fully supported by the Police.
Members are able to share information about criminal, anti-social and suspicious behaviour in their area, have access to the Devon and Cornwall Alert messaging service and can obtain information about security products and property marking kits.
You can also register your property for free at www.immobilise.com and search for details of stolen property prior to buying any new equipment.
Here in Devon and Cornwall
Here in the South West, Caravan Watch falls under the remit of the Devon and Cornwall Community Watch Association and is supported by the Police. Caravanning is a popular hobby for locals and holidaymakers alike with more touring caravans evident on our roads during the peak summer period.
With so many holidaymakers visiting the area each year, the country-wide Watch Scheme aims to share information about criminal, anti-social and suspicious behaviour in the area in a bid to increase the prevention and detection of caravan related crime. It also serves to encourage greater community engagement between individual caravan owners and businesses with the Police and other caravan related groups.
